Invitation for January 29, 2025 Broader Coalition Meeting
We invite you to the upcoming virtual CA School Garden Broader Coalition meeting on Wednesday, January 29, 2024, from 2:00–4:00pm. Please register by Friday, January 24, 2025.
This meeting will be an important opportunity to:
- Share updates on our current legislation proposal that seeks to update an unused unfunded program for instructional school gardens.
- Request your valuable support for the proposal.
- Share opportunities to partner with us, including an invite and introduction to our Advocacy Day in Sacramento in March/April!
Updates
We are continuing meetings with key agencies and legislative offices as we seek a bill author for the proposed legislation. These meetings consist of sharing about the proposal, garden legislation history, projected costs, and data that demonstrates an opportunity gap in current school garden infrastructure and its usage as a learning tool for teachers.
