What you can do now

Who decides in a district

KIT money goes to the district's food service (nutrition services) department, so its director decides how it is spent. An education or curriculum lead, a farm-to-school buyer and a garden coordinator often shape a garden program, and in our work a garden coordinator housed in food services has worked well, since food service already runs as a business.

Gardens and garden education here

From Ten Strands' statewide district dataset, as of September 29, 2026. Ten Strands looks for public evidence, so a missing item may mean the district has not said so publicly.
